Authentic, beautifully restored 18th-century Trullo sleeping up to 4 guests in Puglia's idyllic Itria Valley. Set within a one-hectare estate with ancient olive trees, this child-friendly haven features a fully fenced 10x10m pool (shared with one independent Villa) and a private patio, located just minutes from Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Alberobello.

Welcome to your peaceful oasis and a true piece of Puglian history. Built around 1820 by our ancestors, Trullo Fumarola has been lovingly and carefully restored to blend modern comforts with its original heritage, featuring beautiful exposed stone arches and centuries-old limestone floors. The house sits within a vast estate, sharing an extra-large swimming pool with the property’s only other house—a detached, modern Villa which sleeps up to 8 guests. The one-hectare grounds offer immense space, ensuring both houses retain complete privacy, independence, and a wonderful connection to the land.

Indoor Spaces & Layout

The Trullo can be accessed via any of the three glazed entrance doors. Entering through the left door leads straight into a generous open-plan space that is flooded with light and showcases the architectural history of this beautifully restored property. This is quite unlike most traditional Trulli, which often tend to be dark and cramped.

To your right, you will see a comfortable sofa facing a smart TV on the opposite wall, a dining table, and, towards the rear, a well-equipped contemporary kitchen.

Heading straight ahead, you will see two doors. The one on the left leads to the first bedroom, while the one on the right leads to a bathroom equipped with a large walk-in shower (with both rain and hand shower heads), a sink, a WC, and a bidet.

To the left is the second bedroom, which features two large built-in beds that can be transformed into cozy sofas. This room also has a fireplace and can be closed off by curtains made of heavy, double-lined linen.

Outdoor Living & Child Safety

The Trullo features its own private outdoor terrace and dedicated barbecue area for intimate alfresco dining under the stars. Beyond your private space lies a large garden with ancient olive trees and a one-hectare orchard filled with a rich variety of fruit trees, including figs, walnuts, pears, apples, persimmons, and plums. The heart of the estate is the extra-large swimming pool (10x10m), which features a spacious sunbathing area and a large communal dining table nearby. Having raised our own family here, child safety is our priority: the entire pool area is protected by a safety fence, providing total peace of mind for parents.

Exploring Puglia

Perfectly situated in one of the most beautiful spots of the famous Itria Valley, the property is just 4 km from the Rococo town of Martina Franca. In a few minutes by car, you can reach the UNESCO World Heritage Trulli of Alberobello, or explore the enchanting historic centers of Locorotondo and Cisternino. Other gems like Monopoli, Polignano a Mare and Ostuni are all less than an hour away. Fascinating historic treasures like Matera or the stunning Baroque architecture of Lecce make wonderful day trips, and you are just 30 minutes away from beautiful sandy beaches on both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts.
