Trullo Fumarola

Traditional Trullo built 1820 with all modern comforts. The extra-large pool (10 x 10 metres) is shared with the property’s other house and surrounded by a fence for the safety of children. Large garden with ancient olive trees, close to some of Puglia’s prettiest towns and villages, such as Alberobello, Locorotondo, Ostuni and Cisternino to name just a few. The nearest beaches are a 30-minute drive away. Child-friendly, fully self-catered, and hosted with care—without ever getting in your way.

A beautiful and authentic Trullo set within a large private garden, sharing a generous swimming pool with the property’s other house, a villa which sleeps up to eight people. Garden, pool and pool area are very generously sized, in order to offer enough space to each party, in case both houses are occupied. The Trullo has its own outside space and own outdoor dining area with barbecue.

The Trullo is located in a peaceful spot in the idyllic Itria Valley, right in the heart of Puglia, and just a 30-minute drive from the coast.

One of the most special aspects of this place is its history. The Trullo was built around 1820 by an ancestor and has been part of our family for generations. Staying here means living inside a small piece of Puglian history.

The surrounding garden is a true highlight, with a wide variety of fruit and olive trees, some of which are hundreds of years old, lawn and access to the 10 x 10 metre swimming pool with a spacious sunbathing area and a large dining table nearby, perfect for long lunches and relaxed summer evenings. The entire property measures approximately one hectare, giving you a wonderful sense of space, peace, and connection to the land. The environment is tranquil, safe, and child-friendly, and the pool is protected by a fence, making it suitable for families with young children.

The location is ideal for exploring the region. You’ll be close to charming towns with historic centres, UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Alberobello (just 15 minutes away) and Matera, and Lecce with its unforgettable Baroque architecture. There are beautiful beaches on both coasts and an endless choice of excellent local restaurants to suit all budgets.

We’ve spent many years exploring this part of Puglia and love sharing our local knowledge. While the Trullo is self-catering and your privacy is always respected, we’re always happy to help if needed.

There’s no shortage of things to do here — countryside walks, cycling, beach days, historic towns, and discovering local wines, olive oil, and regional specialities. - Solar panels on the villa’s roof supply some of the energy we use for hot water, heating, air conditioning, the pool, and so on.

- Help us save energy by using a few simple tricks, without compromising on comfort, of course. Just follow the easy instructions inside the house.

2) Fight waste:

- Separate your household waste to help us recycle as much as possible. Just follow the simple tips you will find upon arrival.

- Reusable shopping bags are provided.

- Refillable bottles for shampoo, shower gel and hand soap.

- Most of our detergents are organic and sourced from a refill store in Martina Franca.

- Our tap water is of good drinking quality and is regularly tested. So there is no need to buy plastic bottles.
